I can see the video, but cannot hear the presentation

The audio is embedded in the video, so you should get both together:

  • Do you have a sound card and speakers?
  • Are your speakers turned on, and up? (You can check this manually, or try listening to another sound file.)

Possible solutions:

  • Check you have the latest version of your media player
  • Try using an alternative video player.

It may be that your connection is slow, or very busy

The video appears to have "frozen"

Possible Cause: Your media player may have lost connection with the server.

Possible Solution: Try refreshing your browser. Click the 'Refresh' or 'Reload' button on the browser; right-click the browser window; select Refresh; press 'ctrl + R' or 'apple + R' on a Mac

Possible Cause: Your processor is not powerful enough.

Possible Solution:
Try using alternate connection speed. If this does not work, close your browser, restart it and try again.

Why is the audio quality poor?

You may be experiencing a problem associated with a slow, or busy, connection.

  • If you are viewing with Windows Media Player, try the RealPlayer, as this often delivers better audio quality at lower data rates.
  • If you are viewing a video option and still experiencing poor audio with the RealPlayer, try log-off from the presentation, then log back on to the presentation, but selecting the audio only option.

What is a good internet connection?

A good internet connection requires a fast connection, which is not busy. This means that even if you are viewing on a lease line, if many people are sharing this connection, your connection speed may still be slow.
